Context
1. A Mothers Choice

----------------------------------------------------------
Introduction

A gift of immortality for many, a cruel punishment for others. For me a chance of survival.
A traumatic slumber that torments my mind for eternity.
There comes a time were one has to die, Life will end and your soul will be passed on to the next life, but when you sell your soul to Lucifer.
You have signed a contract to serve the depths of hell, Full of hatred, Grievance and Darkness.

This is a story of how I died.
This is a nightmare of how I lived.
This is a tale of a demon.

A Mothers Choice

Shanti’s arm brushed against the vicious thorns weaved around the stones. She could feel the poison ivy pressuring against her back as the sweat dripped from her forehead to the cold breaking earth.
“Father give me strength!” She pleaded to the heavens. Clenching onto her rosary beads so hard that her nails were cutting deep into her palms. Her body tensed as the offspring came another inch closer to taking its first taste of oxygen.
Gasping heavily she repositioned herself in a less complex way giving the baby an easy exit. A huge bolt of pain shot up through her making her body fall limp for a split second. The head was coming out, a high pitched cry came from the newborns lips as the babies body steadily slid out from the mother’s womb. Shanti hunched herself up and leaned into a cold flat slate. Observing her body’s creation intently, the umbilical cord stretched out still attached to her child. She softly lifted her hand up from her blood stained clothing and lightly stroked along the shaking baby’s cheek. Shanti was completely unaware of what to do. She had just given birth to a newborn baby girl, at such a young age, already with so much on her plate. She quickly shook this thought from her mind and grasped a hold of a dagger from her belt and weakly cut the chord pulling her baby closer to her wrapping her up in a long spectrum coloured kimono. Gently rocking the small fragile soul shushing her to quieten down. The loud babies echoing cry was no longer to be heard in the Lost Temple. The only light that was able to be seen to man was the crescent moon smiling in the foggy night. No stars, no wind, just the freezing cold temperature tickling at Shanti’s neck. The baby fell to sleep as Shanti continued to shush and rock her slightly. She wrapped the kimono a little more around the baby’s body making sure she was warm. Shanti’s head spun around as a faint sound was heard in the distance. She lifted the child into her bosom. She found in what little strength she had to use one of her arms to haul herself behind a broken stone pillar. Pulling her sword and clothing with her.
The sound began to increase in volume the mothers body came once again tensed only this time, with fear. She was too weak to fight, and in to much of a risky place to run. She could feel her wrist begin to shake with nerves. What was she to do? The baby was waking up. A shadow stretched along the ground and all that was noticeable was the dark image of jaws opening with saliva dripping from its mouth. It was coming closer toward them, Shanti pulled her baby close to her face and covered her with her arms and her body. Hearing the canine snarl coming from the mysterious creature, her body reacted. Her head full turned around as she softly placed the baby aside and stood up as calm as ever. Placing her hand onto her hilt she stood her ground silently observing the edge of the pillar. Piercing yellow eyes reflected off the moonlight, as did the pearl white canines. Shanti lifted her sword up towards her chest, and placed her baby safely under the long grass covered up. She approached the vivid blurry image and swayed side to side weakly. She fell to the floor and collapsed out cold. All of her strength had been drained from her body. She was useless.

“Stupid two legers, they know they cannot survive out here so why do they persist on returning to these lands” the very clear words came from the canine’s muzzle. He took a couple of steps forward towards the damsel. His jet black fur shun beautifully in the faint moonlight, The white tips on his ears shaped his face perfectly, and his paws as big as human hands. He lowered his head towards her pressing his cold nose onto her neck feeling her pulse steadily pump. He nudged her with his nose softly, her head rocked to one side. “Pathetic…” He growled lifting one heavy paw up off the dusty earth, opening his mouth as the saliva stretched between his teeth. Throwing himself towards Shanti. As his paw landed on the other side of her and his jaw wrapped around her neck, The babies cover fell from her body allowing the cold temperature to caress her body. The echo’s of the cry came from the babies lips as her hands clenched into tiny fists and her legs kicked.
The wolf’s ear twisted around, just before his teeth pierced Shanti’s skin.
Flexing his claws his head lifted up as he turned in a full circle facing the sound. He took numerous steps towards the newborn lowering his head to the floor. As he caught full site of the baby his ears perked up and his head tilted. “What on earth?”
