Appearance; Valerian, a seemingly enternally-youthful young man of around 16-18 years of age. Valerian dresses in a full black attire. Normally without footwear. He is sometimes found wearing a black cloak with an attached hood.
The boy's body is slightly scrawny yet muscular and broad. His body has various markings on it, which even Valerian himself cannot explain.
His eyes are unusual as there is no iris, only a single pure colour with a surrounding of white. His eyes shimmer a dark, deep blue that sometimes almost seems black. His hair is the same colour.
Powers; Valerian has a single power as to his knowing - The power over animals. Also known as Animalism.

Brief History; Valerian awoke from the blackness that had surrounded him. He lad motionless in a pool of blood. His body was numb, his heart slowly beating faster, beginning to hammer in his chest. Every breath felt like a knife in his side. He climbed to his feet.
He looked around briefly, slowly, he was alone. It was night. He was in a forest not known too well for its happy bunnies. He hesitated as he began to run.
Every step, every breath, hammered at his organs. It felt as if needles had been pushed into his joints, into his body and were slicing him open with every movement he made.
Most of Valerian's memory had gone. He couldn't remember much, only his name and where he was. Why he was there he didn't know. It wasn't long until he stumbled over a fallen branch. He fell, his body smashing against the floor. A grunt and snarl from behind, heavy breathing and panting.
Valerian scambled weakly against the cold, hard floor. Dirt tore at his nails as he turned over. A large Bear was standing above him, its snarling and panting causing his heart to hammer faster. His arm drew across his face to cover himself. A warmth slowly rose through his body. His hand's felt the warmest. The panting and growling stopped as the large Bear thudded back down to place it's front paws on the ground. Valerian peeked over his arm at it, his breath rash. The bear sat staring at him as Valerian rose cautiously. It got up, Valerian hesitated and stepped back quickly.
The bear nuzzled its giant, wet muzzle against his right hand. Valerian smiled softly and stroked the bear. His thoughts ran wild...
